Lone and Karsten have a working relationship with most of their paintings and it was acrylic colors that got them started with creating artwork in late 2021. Since then the couple has evolved and in 2022 they established the beautiful "Galleri Butik Ankersten" as a pop-up summer gallery in Ebeltoft, Denmark with 2nd hand vinyl records, 2nd hand lux design items and up-cycled Indian Saris.
Lone builds textures and colors that open the work for transition using several techniques, but the scalpel is the most common tool at hand. Lone Anker-Petersen is a former school teacher and has – through artwork and color palette – a way to reach frequencies and energies through the creative process. Most artwork by "Ankersten" is done in collaboration between the married couple.
Karsten Schneidermann has worked as an Art Director and Graphic Designer for the Music Industry and made a living creating graphics and conceptual DJ sets for many years, and has now evovled into painting graphic figures and street-style expressions, and upscaling scenery within the texture.
You could say that Lone creates the early reflections and Karsten uses the artwork to emphasize structure already there within the painting.
Lone and Karsten have now established a new location for Galleri Ankersten in their own home of Langsøgaard, where you will find workshops and occational weekend visits to our gallery.
